paths like political freedom, education, higher standards of living, science and technology, fame and fortune, pleasure and power. Sadly, none of them cures our deeper problem—our spiritual sickness.
All the sorrow, all the bitterness, all the violence, tragedy, heartache, and shame of history are summed up in this one little word. The word is sin.
We, too, can become sons and daughters of God. Jesus has shown us how to live, love, laugh, and be accepted in the eyes of His Father—our Father. And that’s not all He did for us.
He was God-forsaken so that we could be God-forgiven.
Truly converted people love the good they once hated and hate the sins they once loved.
Second, you must repent of your sins. Jesus said that unless you repent, you will die (Luke 13:3).
Justified means “just-as-if-I’d never sinned.”
First, because Christ now lives in you, you will have a different attitude toward sin.
