“God is love” first and foremost (1 John 4:16), and “the Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds” (Ps. 145:17, italics mine). No, He’s not above using the wilderness when He knows we need it, when it’s part of His purpose for how He desires to grow us and use us. But He’s not One to sling us into tight situations just for fun. Nor is it just a matter of time before our number comes up.
