“We’re running a bit late this morning, aren’t we?” Susan pointed to the clock on her desk. It was nine-fifteen. “We didn’t think we’d see you today!” Susan was one of those people who said “we” when they really meant “I”. It was her gentle way of being a troublemaker. What she meant to say was, “You’re late!! You’re a bad girl, and I’m going to tell everyone!!!”. “Oh no,” Hope replied with a forced smile, “You can’t get rid of me that easily!”
