It is against the invasive nihilism of the late modern world and the cultural logics that produce them, then, that we see the significance of faithful presence in practice. The covenantal commitment at the root of faithful presence cultivates faith, hope, and love, and as such, it radically challenges the cultural foundations of much of the late modern world.
