Number one, I’ve learned to ask questions. First of myself and then of others. Years ago I heard Peter Drucker say to a group of young leaders, “Always ask about the things you are seeing, ‘What does this mean?’” It was a simple but profound instruction. Never go beyond something of note without asking, what is to be learned here? Why was there success or failure? How could this have been done in a better way?
