It is easy to be nice and friendly to those who are nice to you. It is no problem to “love thy neighbor” as long as we have something to say about who that neighbor may be. Love is not an emotion that begins in us and ends in the positive response of another. Love is a divine energy that begins in God and has no end. We tune in on this energy and are moved by it as it flows through us.
