Note carefully that Jesus didn’t say, “Well, now, boys, let’s not get too excited. Things are never as bad as they seem. We’ll pull through this thing somehow.” He did not acquiesce in the thought of danger at all. He did not let the storm have place in His mind in any way as something to be worried about. In perfect agreement with God, He simply spoke the strong word of power, and the storm subsided. Jesus always shows the highest and most absolute goal toward which we must reach.
