“Do you have any idea how much I want you, Ryan?”
I’m fucking ruined.
He lifts my dress up and over my head, before pulling off his own t-shirt, leaving himself bare-chested. He slips his worn tee over my body, enveloping me in his warmth and scent.
“Because I like taking care of people. You, especially.” He
And I think I’d like to give the real me to Ryan if he wants it. I think he’d treat my heart with kindness.
But when Stevie called to tell me Indy was too sick to stand, I wasn’t thinking about my competition or the game at all. I was thinking about the blonde across the hall who I’d give up almost anything to take care of.
I want to kiss it off her and tell her she’s not allowed to go anywhere. Not when she fits so right here, when she makes it feel like home,
“That sounds very kidnap-y of you.” “Don’t tempt me.”
“But I spend a lot of your money.” “Someone needs to.” “And I’m messy. You don’t like messy.” “I like your mess.” “And I’m needy. I have no idea how to be alone.” “Good. I don’t want you to be alone. I want you to be with me.”
“Come home with me, Blue.”
“Take me home, Shay.”
His chest moves in relief as if seeing me in his house and on his bed has brought him peace. “Right where you belong.” His gaze scans the length of me. “Thank you.”
“You have no idea, Indy.” Another worshiping kiss on my covered stomach. “The power you have over me.”
“All I can think about is seeing you smile and trying to be the reason you are.”
“Trying to water those goddamn flowers just enough so I can watch your face light up when you get home.”
“There you go,” he praises. “That’s my girl.”
He’s a strong man, but weak for me.
I’m obsessed with this man, would quite literally do anything for him
Indy is stunning, always has been, but now that I know her, seen the most vulnerable parts of her, I truly don’t think I’ve laid eyes on a more beautiful human.
I tried so hard to deny it. I had fully convinced myself there wasn’t a woman in the world that would change me, distract me, remind me of everything I once wanted. But in walked Indy Ivers, my living, breathing distraction, and I’m too weak a man to pretend as if she’s not single-handedly repairing all the broken pieces.
“But you’re not confused anymore?” “No. Because it’s become clear as day that you’re meant for me.”
She’s so goddamn stunning and smart and she wants me.
God, she’s magnificent.
Never felt so in tune to another person as I do her.
Her smell is like a fucking drug to me, and her taste is quickly becoming my favorite addiction.
“Because blue is quickly becoming my favorite.”
“I am. Are you?” “Do you want me there?” “I want you there.” I want you everywhere. “Then I’ll be there.”
Right there, inside of the left ankle is an embroidered basketball with my number and a heart stitched into the center of it.
Touch her and I’ll kill you. Say something that makes her upset and I’ll ruin your life. Look at her inappropriately and I will beat the living shit out of you.
“Sometimes the quietest love is the loudest,”
“That man loves you. That right there is quiet love.”
Angel in lavender.
“Can I hide with you?” Head leaning back on the wall, I take a deep breath thanks to her proximity. “You can hide with me forever, baby.”
“God, I love you. I think in a way, I’ve loved you since our first breakfast together. You brought me back to life, Ind, and I will love you as long as you’ll let me.”
But let me make this clear, when it comes to her, I have no issue ruining my reputation. I will burn the world down to protect her and I’ll proudly wave the match, so everyone knows I’m the one who did it.”
“You know that jersey you’ve got with my last name on it? When you see it hanging there in your closet, let it serve as a reminder to you, that soon enough, it’ll be her last name too.”
“What do you want me to call you then?” she asks, halting us in our tracks. Cupping her cheeks, I kiss her for everyone who wants to see. “You can call me yours.”
Daily update—I’m in love with your brother.
“That’s because you know I’ll give you every fucking thing you could ever ask for. You stopped worrying about your own needs a long time ago, Indy, but I want you to hear yourself ask and I want to watch you take.”
“And the whole time, I’m going to give you everything you need because I love you.”
You don’t need me to beg for you out loud because you already know how fucking weak I am for you.”
“I’m gone for you, Ind. I love you so fucking much.”
“Ask me, Blue. Ask me because I will give you everything you could ever want.”
“That’s my girl,” he praises. “There you go.”
Happy, unbothered, and completely in love with each other.
Next to my sister sits her best friend, the brown-eyed beauty who owns my entire heart. With my knuckle, I tilt her chin up and lean down to kiss her lips. “And I love you.”
