Robert Anton Wilson
I had to read up on R. A. Wilson to figure out why the hell I'm reading this book.
I had added a bunch of counter-culture figures to my reading lists about, oh, 30 years ago. It was my 60s revival teenager phase. Little round shades & all. I also flirted with Chaos Magick, hail Eris Esoterica & stuff about hotdogs... it was a weird time.
Anyway, R. A. Wilson (deceased) is Pope Bob of the Church of the SubGenius and was a High Priest of Eris Esoterica.
After remembering his other writings, and the nostalgia wave hit me, I'm feeling far more generous toward this book than I was.
