The Quadrilateral is inevitable and highly valuable as a pattern for determining Christian belief and for constructing and reconstructing Christian doctrines. However, the Quadrilateral is not an equilateral. Tradition, reason and experience are not sources and norms in the same way or on the same level with Scripture, which itself reflects to the Christian tradition community the very mind of God in an accommodated way.
