Most Christian theologians from the early church to the twentieth century have tried to maintain a balanced view of creation as both blessed and cursed, but such a balance is always kept only by conscious effort. Here our theme will be that Christian belief about creation has little to do with specific scientific theories about the age of the earth and the natural processes that led to the emergence of life.
