Victory slammed into him as his mouth crashed over hers and eight years of pent-up longing exploded.
“I forgot something,” he said. Her brow furrowed. “What—” The rest of her sentence died as Sammy’s lips claimed hers and pleasure exploded throughout her body.
We weren’t ready for what the real world had to throw at us. Sometimes,” he said softly. “It’s not about love. It’s about timing.”
“You and me, part two.” Sammy sealed the promise with a soft kiss. “Let’s do it.”
Sammy was in love with Olivia again—more than he’d ever been. And he had no clue if she felt the same toward him. Aw, fuck.
That was all there was to it. Love. Such a simple concept that humans liked to twist and complicate with their fears and insecurities, but eventually, everyone had to make a choice—let the doubt consume them, or let love carry them through.
Her eyes were warm and sparkled with love as she stared down at him. “This isn’t a mess. This is perfect.”
