The minute I’m outside, Jacob begins spewing his apology while simultaneously making excuses for his behavior, which basically negates the entire apology. Not that I didn’t expect as much, but it still irks. “I was just upset about you and my mom making all these plans without even asking me my opinion and that internship.” He shoves a hand through already disheveled hair. “I never meant that I wanted to break up.
