My chest began to burn when I saw him smiling back at me. “There it is,” he mused, a crooked smile plastered to his face. “What?” I asked. “I can tell when you’re feeling happy,” he explained, placing his hand on his heart. “It feels like a burning in my chest, but it doesn’t hurt. It’s like curling up in front of a fireplace.”
