“I don’t want your friendship, Angel. I’m not giving up on you. Just because you’ve closed the door on us, doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying to get through it. Take my apology if you will, and I hope you will, but I’m not going anywhere.” He stands up and slides the seat beneath the table. “You’ve moved me more than any human can ever move another.
