I walk to the nightstand and pull out a condom when I hear her whisper, “Leave it.” It was so quiet, I almost missed it. My head snaps in her direction. “What?” “I’m on the pill and I’m clean, Thomas. I haven’t been with anyone in longer than I care to admit,” she says with a small smile. Fuck. Is this for real? The thought of feeling her with nothing between us for the first time has my cock standing higher in salute. At the same time, it’s hard for me to fully trust anyone after what happened with my last one-night stand.
