He didn’t say a word. Every move Enzo made was deliberate and rough, like he wanted to tear me apart. Something wet slipped between my cheeks. I glanced over my shoulder. Enzo held a bottle of something, squeezing it between my cheeks with a determined look on his face. I peered closer and saw aloe vera. He’s so serious.
Enzo rubbed his cock against my hole and grunted as he slammed inside of me. I saw stars. My knees tried to buckle, but he wrapped his arm around my waist and kept me in place as he began to rock inside of me. His breath feathered against my ear.
“You’re mine,” he growled.
I’d thought it was a spur-of-the-moment, my cock belongs in your mouth, mine. But glancing back at him, seeing that dark look in his eyes, I wasn’t so sure. Was he really trying to claim me?
“Fuck, I can’t take this,” Enzo groaned. I reached between my thighs and stroked my cock. “Then cum inside of me,” I said, immediately wanting to slap myself. But I want it. “Fill me up, Enzo.”
Some stupid part of me thought about experiencing this all the time. Having someone who couldn’t keep their hands off of me, someone who would be obsessed with me until the end of time.
My stomach dropped, and I felt the panic starting to rise. I needed to escape. But I was too far gone, and so was Enzo. He turned my head when I tried to look away, holding my gaze as his lips parted. It was like he wanted to say something. However, he sealed his lips, grabbed my wrist and fucked me like he was never going to see me again.
It was as if neither one of us wanted to move. Enzo wrapped his arms around me, and I knew the second we stepped apart the illusion would shatter and the real world would come crashing back in.
He paused for a while. “Are you staying?” I blinked at Enzo. Did he just invite me to stay the night? I didn’t know what to say to that. In another life, I would have happily stayed in his bed, hoping for another round or two. As I gazed at Enzo, though, I knew I had to get out of there.
Work that you know about. You know I’m a cop. Hell, maybe you even know I’m investigating you.
“Enzo—” “You can see yourself out,” he said, his tone clipped. When I turned away, he called my name. I glanced back at him. “Make sure you don’t show up here again.”
Red hot anger flashed through me. I kept my mouth shut, nodded, and exited his room before I said something that would get me killed. I snagged my shoes, shoving my feet inside. Something poked me in the sole. I removed my sneaker and glanced inside. USB port. Somehow, I had forgotten all about it.
Bile rose in my throat, mixing with the anger. There was no telling what I was going to find on that thing. I made a beeline for the door, resolving myself to fi...

“Brycen is… was… my younger brother,” she said shortly. “He was doing great in life until he hooked up with that animal.” “Animal?” “Enzo Vitale,”
“Brycen liked to run off. He was wild, you know? Partying, drinking, falling into bed with the wrong kind of men. I always warned him it was going to get him killed…” She trailed off, a tear rolling down her cheek before she wiped it away with her arm. “And it did.”
“According to the cops, he’s simply a missing person, but I know the truth. My brother is dead, and Enzo killed him.”
“He used to send flowers here after it happened. There was never any card or anything, but I knew they were from him. Sometimes I would see him across the street, staring at the apartment. Or he would call and hang up without saying anything. He creeps me out,”
“What does sorry do? Men like the Vitales, they don’t care about anyone but themselves. Killing people is part of what they do. I just wish my asshole brother had listened to me when I said that to him,” she sniffled hard, her breathing a stutter. “Is that all?”
“I’m not sure if I should.” I paused and gripped the steering wheel. “What?” “You’re getting obsessed,” she said evenly. “I don’t want to be part of the reason you spiral.”
I could be on the verge of getting everything I wanted. So, why did it feel so empty?
The mention of police brought up Tex’s face in my mind. Gin whistled. “Enzo,”
Benito’s hold tightened. “Are you?” I turned to look at my oldest brother. His gaze was unwavering. “Are you repeating your mistakes, Enzo?”
My heart rate slowed as my fingertips went cold. My instant answer should be no. However, Tex’s face flashed before me and how I’d let him walk out of my place. I hadn’t even checked him over.
If I told him the truth, Tex would meet the same fate. Or he’d be taken from me, and that thought made breathing hard.
“Breathe, fratello.” Benito pressed our foreheads together. “You’re my brother, and we will always have each other.“ “Familia is everything.”
“Find out who’s betraying us.” I would. I just hoped it had nothing to do with Tex.
Four days, and I was still no closer to knowing what I should do with Tex. I wanted Tex under me at all times, but my wants weren’t exactly reality. I knew that more than anyone.
In the time we’d been apart, he hadn’t visited Blu once or shown up at my place. I know I told him to never come back but a part of me hoped he wouldn’t listen.
The stench of alcohol had nothing to do with being in a bar and everything to do with Tex. The closer I got the stronger the smell wafted off of him. I didn’t want to touch anything here.
His mouth turned down in a frown. “The fuck?” Tex’s gaze hardened the longer he looked up at me. I preferred the desire and fear in his eyes more, but I could work with anger.
“You knew that when you met me.” His blue eyes focused on me. “Just like you knew who I was.”
“Tex...” “Don’t you mean officer Caster?” He shook his head and lifted it once more. “You shouldn’t be here.” His eyes seemed to water as his teeth dug into his bottom lip.
“I’m here.” “You shouldn’t be. We’re enemies.”
“Do you want me?”
“I shouldn’t, but you make my fucking head hurt.” Doesn’t he know he does the same to me?
all I wanted to do was go in there and chain him to my bed and tell him he was stuck with me now. As appealing as that was, it wouldn’t be easy making a cop’s son disappear. There would be too many questions.
“What the hell do you do when you spill blood on your clothes?” Tex’s shoulders tensed as if he’d just realized what he’d asked. The tension in the room thickened to a choking level, and I forced myself to continue to the closet. “I get rid of them.”
“Keeping them is like asking to be caught. There is a lot of evidence in DNA. Even if I were to clean them, would it be enough?” Tex’s mouth hung open as he stared at me. “Are you seriously telling me this?”
Heat swirled in the pit of my stomach, and my cock hardened. Even now, I want him.
“I will fuck you until you can’t walk away from me ever again.”
“What happened to Brycen Grennan?” All the air in the room was sucked up, and I was left breathless as I stared at Tex.
His eyes met mine, and I drew back my fists once more. His gray eyes pleaded for me to give him mercy. My heart was firmly lodged in my throat, and my stomach was at the bottom of my feet. “I messed up.” Brycen’s eyes bore into mine. What could I say? He hadn’t just messed up. He’d attempted to take my family away.
“Messed up is being called into the police and telling them a few things. Reporting it to Enzo right away would have worked in your favor. But that’s not what you did, was it?” Benito paced, his fists hung at his side.
Tears slid down Brycen’s cheek, clearing a few spots of blood. I couldn’t find it in me to enjoy this. Inflicting pain on others was a moment of peace for me, and Brycen was robbing me of it along with my heart.
I reached out for him and pulled him down to the bed. He grunted as I rolled on top of him and smashed him against the mattress with my body.
I pushed my face against his neck and breathed him in. It was calming in the way it quieted the noises around me and grounded me to the spot. Tex wiggled under me.
“Brycen was someone important to me.”
“We met at a charity event; his date had left him behind. But that entire night, we kept finding ourselves talking. He was wild, cheerful, and—” Everything I am not.
“One thing led to another, and I took him back to the hotel.” “The same one you took me to?” Tex asked. “Yes.”
“He stayed around. Taking up residence in the hotel suite. It soon turned into more. Brycen was what I wanted, and he was happy to hand himself over to me.”
