But in this unwanted connection I had with Havoc, I didn’t find a monster. I didn’t even find anger. There was just… a creature in a cage, desperate and bloodied, betrayed by each bond of trust she’d given. It was weary with the effort to scratch through the walls, and its waning song of hope was the faintest rough whisper.
