He emerged a moment later with her favorite scarf held gingerly in his hands: the burnished copper one that was almost crimson. She took it gratefully, and he helped her to sit up. She wrapped it around her hair carefully, tying a simple knot on the top of her head. “Alright, now I’m ready,” she groaned, easing herself back onto her side.
