It dawned on me what Keiran had been doing all this time. Kei wasn’t trying to squash Cadoc’s love for Zander, he was seeking Zander out, asking his permission to care for the lost soul that Cadoc had turned into. Instead of burying Cadoc’s grief, Keiran consumed it, channelling it on Cadoc’s behalf by turning it into something useful.
