I want to storm back to Starling House and thump Arthur’s head against the wall until he forgives me or apologizes or presses his mouth against mine just to shut me up.

So abrasive I love it. Go beat up and kiss that uggo man, Opal.

“May I kiss you, Opal?” The question is polite, restrained; his eyes are not.

Oop.

Arthur spent his whole life protecting this ugly, ungrateful town; tonight, they’ll just have to wait their turn.
