The one song on the album that was a bit otherworldly was “Planet Caravan,” about two lovers floating through the universe in a spaceship—the ultimate romantic weekend! That song was jazz influenced and another product of jamming. Bill was a big fan of Gene Krupa, Max Roach and Buddy Rich, which is why Black Sabbath were probably the only heavy metal band that swung.
