During the pandemic, the government offered financial support for those who got vaccinated, and it easily paid out the benefit within the app, checking each applicant’s vaccination status automatically. When Russia invaded, being able to prove your Ukrainian citizenship without paper documents suddenly became a lifesaver for hundreds of thousands of refugees, and support became critical again.
