Being beautiful is not something that describes me, it’s who I am. It’s not a hobby or a phase. I was born to be beautiful.
Being gorgeous has always been my destiny—it just took a minute.

But as scary as typhoons and flash floods and landslides are, we learned from an early age to celebrate the rain. It’s going to come regardless, but you know what always comes after the rain? Rice and rainbows. Filipinos see the rain as an opportunity to not water their plants for a week. If there’s one thing about Filipinos, no matter what we’re going through, in general, we’re going to find the silver lining. Instead of complaining, we know the skies will eventually clear up and life goes on.
Y’all don’t even understand how blessed you are to have skin that doesn’t burn when you go out in the sun. You get darker, cuz that’s just how much your skin loves you. Be glad you turn brown and not red.

People are always asking me, What is the best primer? The best primer is not something you can buy on Amazon, bitch. You can’t use my code for 10 percent off. The best primer, the best thing to start with, is your own self-fucking-confidence, and an understanding of who you are. Because if you build your makeup over your insecurities, you’re just going to be a pretty, insecure person.
You don’t have to just be good at one thing online—explore everything that’s exciting to you. And there are people like me who are honestly good at everything. So try to be good at everything. Or if you’re not good at everything, at least try to be okay at a lot of things.
Your body is enough, but you should move it sometimes too. Michelle Obama taught me that. Even if you don’t want a six-pack, at least go on a walk.
forgive yourself for the stupid things, open yourself up to healing and learning, and realize that you don’t have to be famous to have stories to tell.
I think a little fear before you go somewhere actually shows that you know you’re on the right path toward something new. You can carry your fears and anxieties, understand them, and turn it into your confidence.
You don’t just say sorry once, period. And bad bitches forgive themselves.
Life may be like a box of chocolates, but I’m lactose, so instead of shitting my pantalones, I prefer to say life is like a mansion. There’s a room for everybody in there—we all just have to find our own spaces within.
