I once heard a very wise man say something profound about typos in stories. He said that if a story was ever written completely perfectly without a single error, then it would come to life and jump out of the page. So in order to keep all those horrible dangers found inside books away from the real world, authors always make sure to include at least a single typo in the story so that it doesn't happen.
