Chesterton wrote, “A true warrior fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.” Good men do not fight because they love to kill; they fight because they have something worth protecting. A soldier will lay down his life for the cause of freedom, if he believes in it, so that others can choose the kind of life they want.
