Kindle Notes & Highlights
We discovered long ago that the gym is not the place for us. We do not want to spend our time sweating in a musty and overcrowded space, battling to find a gap to use the machines.
We want to be healthy and fit but we want to achieve this with the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces.
Hiking is as much a mental test as a physical one,
This will have a great impact on your balance, reflexes, and perhaps most importantly, your posture and spinal health.
By working out, we can address anxiety and depression by devoting our focus to what is immediately in front of us.
Even if you prefer to hike alone, the brief interactions with others on the trail can leave you with a sense of social engagement.
