I learned quickly that the advantage of bullies isn’t in their strength but in what they are willing to do, being unafraid of consequences or of breaking the rules. What they each discovered about me was not just that I knew where to strike a man to bring him to his knees, but that I was willing to deliver that strike. As I have grown older I have become frightened of how much of an advantage that grants a man in this world.”
