“Peri, can we stay together for the rest of Christmas, even when the roads clear?” he asked into her hair. She pulled back and felt sunshine beam from every corner of her heart. “And maybe sometimes other weekends?” she asked as she stared at his mouth. “And in Chicago?” he asked as he brought her down for a kiss.

“P, did we just clam-jam you?”

“I can tell you two things with certainty, Bennett: one, you’re going to get a pretty amazing bonus Christmas present tonight, courtesy of my vagina, and two, we’ll make this the least boring, most fun, over-the-top, ridiculous Christmas Day of your life.” He yanked her back for a kiss as they passed under the mistletoe, dipping her low.
