what doesn’t kill you just gives you seriously fucked-up coping mechanisms and one massive self-destruct button.
A Day To Remember, I Prevail, and Bad Omens roll out his top three artists. Bring Me The Horizon isn’t far behind—though I’m chalking it up to his sharing the same last name with the lead singer rather than having actual taste.
“At least you’re not a closet Swiftie,” Kason says, and I watch him visibly shudder. His nose wrinkles up in disgust. “Unless it’s a metal cover, I refuse to listen to her songs.”
“God, I really am going to Hell for this.” My mouth curls into a grin against his lips. “That’s okay. I’ll meet you there.”
That’s the beautiful thing about the metal community. Nothing matters once the artists take the stage, because you become one with the crowd, the music, and the experience.
I’m still getting used to him looking at me like that. With affection, rather than animosity. Like he actually…likes me.
