God is a lavish giver. "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:32). The God who gave us his Son delights to graciously give us "all things." These "things" are in addition to Christ, but they are never instead of him-they come "along with him." If we didn't have Christ, we would have nothing. But because we have Christ, we have everything.
