The apostle Peter puts the belief structure involved here in a correct and helpful manner by saying, “For Jesus was in the plan before the world started, but for your sake he has come at the end of the times, for you who through him believe in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God” (1 Pet. 1:21).
