wanted one thing: for people to take her seriously. If she had a million dollars—that was her number—maybe people would stop assuming, that she had nothing to offer or that she wasn’t someone to be reckoned with or that she was a fucking secretary.
Excavate the rot. Abandon what isn’t working as soon as you know it’s not working; sooner if you can. Whether it’s people or positions or entire lines of business, don’t be afraid to let something go if it’s not contributing to your bottom line.
