Her life is informed by loss but because she’s lost, she loves and loves freely, openly, with all she can. I’ve seen it first-hand, in what she gives to her art, how she holds her double bass, the quiet intensity with which she plays; what she gives to her friends, the space she makes for people to be honest, to be themselves.
