Daniel is the extrovert, always surrounding himself with people. Sometimes I wish I could be more like him, making friends everywhere I go, holding conversations, going to a party without wanting to leave early.
I would spend the rest of my life looking for him.
“Okay. I’m spontaneously going home,”
the button of his collar undone,
Maybe you shouldn’t waste all your time waiting for me.”
But you know this couldn’t be forever. Don’t want to keep you from your life.”
I’ll always be a paper flower in your life, and you deserve a real one.”
“In another world, I would spend every second with you. But I don’t want you to live in that world. I don’t want you to spend your life waiting for me.”
I only wish you’d told me sooner. So I didn’t have to wait for you.
“No, it’s … hard to explain.” “Well, I have plenty of time.”
“People come in and out of our lives, you know? Sometimes for the better, and sometimes you wish it happened differently. It’s just the way it is.”
He basically moved on to some other guy the next day. Meanwhile, I barely go a second without thinking about him. I still look through photos of him when I’m alone.
“I honestly can’t tell there’s alcohol in it.” “That’s how you know it’s good,”
there is so much left for you in the world. So much to live for still. All the people who love you. You just have to let them in. You have a whole life ahead of you. Even if I’m not in it.”
I hope you’ll still spend time together. He might need you, too. So keep him close.
