Considering the first time Amalourne got out and went to the Book Nookery, I highly doubt it is a mere coincidence. It was likely she was connected to Amalourne. My cat had a previous owner—she was too friendly and well-kept not to. Also, there was something about the way magic seemed to just…cluster around her that made it obvious she wasn’t a normal cat.
