“Wondering what I’m doing, Ama?” Ker crouched down, easily balancing with her werewolf athleticism. “I’ll tell you! I’m doing self-affirmations.” She pointed to her reflection in the pond. “Do you see that wolf? She’s a strong, kind wolf. She is confident, motivated, and smart, and has wonderful fur and a good nose. And she’s me!” I stared up at Ker. Does a werewolf really need confidence building exercises? They’re apex predators. Apparently, they did. Ker jabbed her finger at the water again. “We’re going to kick some butt and have a great day! The magic pool wills it!” Ker whispered to me.
