Despite the increasing pitter patter of my heart, I kept my posture relaxed, and I swung my donut bag. I didn’t keep my cool because I was kick butt or anything—quite the opposite. I had to stay calm, because I’d be much more noteworthy to the fae if they realized I was afraid. I needed to swindle them into thinking I was a human who didn’t know better.
