Perhaps the feminine mystique grew from this notion? Open up, and a woman gives ammunition to those who would exploit her. Has this changed from the late 40's/50's of the 20th century?

God will bring two strangers together on the corner of North Laura and Main and lead them toward love. God won’t make it easy.
