Occasionally, especially with regard to sexuality and gender—or drag queens—books introduced to children in schools today are obviously inappropriate to any reasonable observer. These are clear provocations meant to evoke certain lines of programming. Take, for example, the book Gender Queer, which is to be found in countless school libraries in the United States.
