This basic structure of Marxism repeats itself through every evolution of Marxist Theory. For Marx, the special property was capital. Its ideology was capitalism, a caricature of market economies. Its winners are the bourgeoisie and its losers the working class, who become a proletariat when awakened to class consciousness. The structure of this society is enforced by structural classism which is materially deterministic.
