My lips twitch as I face the entrance again. I like how she calls me sir; it’s different from when everyone else does it.
“So what happens now?” I ask after I finish cleaning the blood. “Now”—a slow smirk tilts his lips—“I take over the world, Sasha. And you’ll be right by my side.”
“I’d hate to ruin your handsome features.” A rare smirk curves his lips. “You find me handsome?” Shit. “It’s…common sense.”
She’s quick to hide her reaction, but not quick enough to conceal the red hue that covers her neck and ears. Fucking adorable.
“Such a good girl, my Solnyshko.”
“Look at who owns you, Solnyshko. Look at how your body submits to me as if it was made for me. You are mine, and you will always be fucking mine. You’ll never belong to anyone else but me.”
The red that spreads from her neck to her cheeks and ears is all the answer I need. Fuck me.
“Obviously, there’s a reason, but that’s not important right now, is it? The fact that you chose me as your first is.” “I didn’t choose you. It was just convenient.” Convenient. Hmm. So I’m reduced to convenient now. That’s certainly the first time anyone has ever used that word for me. I’m many things, but fucking convenient isn’t one of them.
Did this fucking woman just say that being a bodyguard is more important than fucking? If this is her way of further insinuating that I’m ‘convenient,’ I swear to fuck—
No, I need them back, even if my mouth is too swollen and achy. “Don’t go, Sasha,” he asks this time, softly, pleadingly even. And I melt.
