Pop dispensationalism and the Jesus People flourished in Southern California and beyond for much of the 1970s. The movement was soon a national phenomenon, visible in cities and college campuses from Seattle to Washington, DC. Billy Graham grew out his hair a little and capitalized on the youthful energy in his crusades.
