Dedicated to all my curvy girls. Our self-worth is not dictated by a number on the scale. Here’s to finding a man who would love you at a thousand pounds.
“Be my best friend forever. No matter what. Even when we fight or the distance between us grows. Promise you’ll fight for us as hard as I will.”
Bentley deadpans, “Ha-ha. Hilarious.” Colt groans. “Whatever. Have fun spending your night with your hand and a pervy pizza delivery guy instead of free beer at a bar with your friend.”
“Hades. I would name our dog Hades.”
“No, I refuse to accept that your parents let you turn out to be a jackass. If Ava knew how you were speaking to me right now, she would have wrung you right out for everyone to see.”
“You’re not simply pretty, Braxton. That would be a goddamn insult. You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. Cut that shit out right now,” he growls.
“So that I can look at you before I go to bed every fucking night, Braxton. You’re not simply pretty. You’re the most beautiful girl in the world. Never think otherwise.”
“You live in a hobbit home,” he grumbles, sitting on the couch. Surprisingly, he doesn’t have any complaints about it. He just stretches out his legs and drops his head to the couch back and stares at the popcorn ceiling. “I don’t. You’re just massive.”
“Do you know what the worst part of all of this is?” “What?” My skin clams up. “That after everything, I still can’t find it in myself to hate you.”
“You look like the sun,” I blurt out. My eyes widen. “I mean, the dress. It’s yellow like the sun . . . sunshine. It’s bright. Yeah.” The blue in her eyes is so clear I can’t look away. She blinks at me once, twice, and then asks, “Do you want to borrow some sunglasses?”
“You know what? I called it. Didn’t I, Dad? I told you they would get together one day. You owe me a hundred bucks,” Jamie gloats.
“You’re telling me. When I saw her for the first time, I nearly fell to my knees. She’s always been beautiful, but shit. She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen.”
Braxton Heights will be my girl one day, and when she is, there’s no way I will ever let her go. We’ll be forever.
But even when I did make the time, I can’t say that I was ever invited to hang out with professional players in the VIP section of a club while they complain about their rankings on the newest NHL video game.
Moments of self-doubt and that stupid voice that reminds you that you’re either trying too hard or not enough.
It’s easier to say you’re better than that, but it’s a hell of a lot harder to believe it.
Thick thighs stretch the material of his slacks, and I wonder how tight his pants must pull across his ass, knowing exactly just how nice of an ass it is. The black pants also cinch tight at his waist under an expensive-looking leather belt with a silver buckle that gleams in the dull office light. He has the top button of his shirt undone, exposing a sliver of the black ink that must be scrawled across his chest, and he’s rolled the sleeves up once, or maybe twice, leaving his roped forearms open to greedy eyes like mine.
“First of all, if you refer to yourself as chubby again as if it’s a big, bad thing, I will spank your ass so hard you won’t be able to sit for a week. And second, I want to kill those men. You . . .”
“You are everything, Braxton. And you deserve to feel like it. There is not a single part of you that I don’t love. That I don’t want to touch and kiss and memorize. Those guys, they were boys. Small-dick, insecure pricks. They wouldn’t know a good thing if it smacked them in the face. And you? You’re the best fucking thing. Okay?”
“You know that the equivalent of baby girl is baby boy, right? Unless you want me to start calling you that, stop with the baby girl.”
“What’s so funny, baby boy?” I ask through a giggle.
“I missed you more than I’ve ever missed anything. You took a piece of me that day, and I’ve been searching for something, anything, to mould into the hole left behind, but it was impossible. Now you’re here, and that hole? It’s gone. So yes, sweetheart. I missed you. And wearing the cologne you got me made me feel like I didn’t lose you entirely while you were away. I’ve worn it every single day.”
“I want to see you, Braxton. I want to see how these panties look cutting your pussy in half and how ruined they are when I pull them off because of how wet you made them. The first time I touch you, I need to see you. I’ve been imagining this for too long not to have it all.”
“I have loved you at a hundred pounds, and I would love you at a thousand. Let me show you how much I love you right now.”
“I have never stopped loving you. Not once. I don’t think I know how.”
“I will always choose you. Nothing else matters to me but you. Nothing.”
“Please. Don’t make me get on my knees and beg.” “Oh, see, that’s a tempting picture. You made a mistake offering that to me.” I waggle my eyebrows.
“He’s been waiting our entire lives to see me on the ground at your feet, Braxton. It would make more than just his year to see it. Now, let’s go home.”
“You’re too sore for a spanking, Braxton. But keep it up and I might not care.” She wiggles against my side. “Ooh, is that a threat or a promise?” “It’s neither now that I know you’d enjoy both.” “That’s rude.”
“I’m going to steal these photos and plaster them all over my house,” Maddox says confidently.
“I should have taken care of this earlier. Should have taken you to a dark room and eaten this pretty cunt until you begged me to take you home and fill you up. I’ll make it up to you, though, baby. I promise.”
There’s something oh so satisfying about seeing the man you love turn feral with desire for you, and watching Maddox lose his grip on control has me on the brink of orgasm before we’ve even really started.
“Are you asking me to paint your ass red, sweetheart?” I shake my head. “No. I’m begging you to.”
“Babies, a white picket fence, a tree house in the backyard, and a big diamond ring on your left hand. Everything with you isn’t nearly enough.”
At one time in my life, this man was my hero. The protector of my kingdom. But that time has passed, and I’ve learned that not every hero deserves his happily ever after. Sometimes, the hero is just a villain in disguise.
“Nothing. I just want you to take me from behind. I want to watch in the mirror,”
