"You are the moon in my night sky." His words were nearly a whisper, but she felt them rumble through her like thunder. "Run from me all you wish. I am where you belong. It seems time herself knew what you could not accept, my Mina. She has brought you back to me at last."
"Do garlic and silver hurt them?" "Hm? No. But man, does it annoy them." He snickered. "And I love annoying them."
"God gave you the gift to see beauty, and this is how you thank him for it?" The figure sneered. "Then I shall see this insult put right."
"You are mine," he whispered, his breath now warm. The sound of his heartbeat was deafening to him. But it was a beautiful tempo for their new dance. "Now and forever. In this life and the next. I will never stop hunting you, no matter how far you may run."
"I will not force this upon you." "Thanks." She paused. "But what if I say no?" "Then I shall be at your side until you grace God with your presence." "Not sure if I'm going to Heaven now," she said through a snicker. "But thanks for the vote of confidence." "Why would he not take back one of his angels?" "Oh, my god, you're such a ham." She laughed. "That was fucking terrible."
