When grief is really bad, it’s a reflection of a love that was really great. The deeper you love someone, the more you’ll grieve their loss.
When we try to keep living on our own, we won’t have the strength to persevere through hardship. But when we, like a river, connect to the greater Source, when we surrender our lives to God and let the gospel take root in our hearts, we will be able to keep flowing downstream.
When that happens, life looks less like struggling and more like surrendering.
When I stopped trying to hold on to my own plans for my life, I realized God’s plans were far better.
God, open my eyes to the truth that I need to see today. Reveal to me Your wisdom, and open my heart to understand it.
I praise God in His house for saving an undeserving rebel like me.
“After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” (1 Peter 5:10).
