Sam is in the section that looks like it’s for teens or tweens. Neon is the theme: bright colors, glitter, and unicorns. “Ah-ha!” Sam plucks a notebook from underneath another stack. It’s turquoise and has llamas all over it. “You were hiding, but I found you! And now you’re coming with me.” I don’t even blink that she’s talking to a notebook.
