Tag smiled back. “All’s well that ends well,” he murmured, lightly kissing both my dimples before stepping back to look at me.
We were already dancing with our hands tied.
“Yeah, Daniel. Look what you made me do.” I booped him on the nose. “Karma.”
“God, I hate you,” I said, laughing. Alex shook his head. “I don’t believe you.” “Why not?” I asked. “Because,” he said, “you’ve got Tag’s favorite smile on your face.”
“You’ve always been the one.”
“What a stupid place to sit!” I grinned. “Oh, but what a pretty place to fall!”
No body, no crime, I thought before we vanished from the mail room like ghosts.
