face. “I couldn’t help but overhear you trying to give Brynn here some unsolicited advice about her skating and, last time I checked, you’re a board bitch, not a figure skater. So I came over here to suggest that it might be a good idea for you to stay in your own damn lane.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got you,” Dutch assured me as he began to gently pull me towards the dance floor. I must have still looked reluctant because he leaned down to whisper in my ear again. “Fly with me, Brynn,” he said softly,
“These will have to do for now,” he whisper-growled into my ear as he held me against the wall, his cock slowly going soft inside of me. “Since I can’t parade you around with my scent on you without risking a one-way ticket to Siberia, I’ll just have to keep putting these on you so that you know that you are mine.”
“How good are you at math?” I asked. Nash looked confused as he answered my question. “Uh, I mean I’m pretty good at it, I like to think. I have a bachelor’s degree in statistics.” I glanced back at Brynn and her eyes were dancing with laughter. “He’ll do,” I told her and we shared a grin.
Nash’s movements stuttered to a stop and his head jerked up so that he was looking up at us again. “Sorry, did you say babies, as in two?” I couldn’t help it, I threw my head back and laughed. “See, sweetness? He really is good at math after all.”
“What?” Nash asked. “Make the promise again,” I told him and watched the effect my words had on him. Nash’s pinky squeezed mine as he spoke. “I promise to keep you, the babies, and Dutch safe, always, and I promise to always strive to make you happy,” he said, his voice clear as he spoke.
“I love you,” I said, the words slipping out easily now and I wondered what had stopped me before. “You brightened my world the minute you came here. Before you, I was so used to being invisible, but you saw me and turned those blue eyes in my direction and I was hooked. You are my heart, and not being bonded with you feels like my heart has been living outside of my body and I can’t do anything to protect it from the world around us.”
“All the best things in life are too good to be true, sweetness,” I told her as I started to inch towards the doorway of my bedroom, pulling Nash and Brynn with me as I went. “That’s why they exist, so we’re reminded that even in our dreary, monotonous lives, that there’s still room for magic.”
“I promise to always take care of you and our family until my last breath leaves my body,” Nash said and leaned in to seal the promise with a kiss.
“And I promise to always be your safe haven when life gets too hard. I promise to work hard to take care of you and the rest of our family. You’re ours until the days of our lives stretch into forever.”
“Belinda, are you crying, you old bat? I thought those kinds of emotions made you break out into hives?” Thea asked incredulously.
“Anyone else have anything to say about my alphas?” A chorus of ‘no, ma’ams’ filled the room as the other guys looked at her with a mixture of fear and respect.
“Alright fellas, the show’s over. I hope that you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves, but we’re going to make like a tree and leave,” I announced, hearing the chorus of their groans at my shitty pun. “You know,” Brynn said, her voice which had been so confident only a moment before suddenly changed. “I would love to go, but I don’t think I can.” “What do you mean, sweetness?” Dutch asked, confused. “Well, you see, I think my water just broke,” Brynn replied sheepishly, smoothing her dress out around her as she looked down at the puddle that she’d just made on the floor. “Oh shit,” several men in

I wasn’t sure that he ever fully registered that I was having babies because he’d asked me several times about it and frowned every time I tried to explain that I had two babies inside of my belly. I was pretty sure that he thought that I was just messing with him for nine months. “They’re pink,” Tobey commented as he examined the babies with a critically honest eye. “And ugly.” All of the adults in the room chuckled as Aurelia mouthed a sheepish apology.
“What was that?” the man asked, leaning in so close that I could see the whites of his crazed eyes. I cleared my throat, my vision blurring as I glared up at him. “I’m not alone,” I repeated myself. “Damn fucking straight she’s not alone, you nasty motherfucker!” I heard Ciara shout and the sound of an aluminum bat connecting with something filled the kitchen.
