I think I have been murderously angry for a long time, and I didn’t know it. I’m certainly better at fighting and killing than I ever suspected. That should scare me, but in a place like this, it could be an advantage.

“You’re very beautiful,” he says quietly. “I never denied that. You’re stunning, in fact.”

“Sit, sugar,” he murmurs.

“But if you want to keep your tongue, I suggest you train it to be more polite.”

I’m so wet for him I’m afraid I’ll leave moisture on the saddle when I dismount—but beyond that, I think my heart is wet for him.
